Fall is Fun!

This Quality Chick is 22 months old today!

We have been having a lot of fun already this fall, and we haven't even done the apple orchards or pumpkin patches yet. One cool day, we hung out at the indoor park at the Apache Mall with Sari, Witten and Helen. It's a small play area, but when it's empty, the kids have a great time!

We also had a nice visit with the Engstrom's one Saturday afternoon. How do we know the Engstrom's?? Well, Jon and John (aka: Hacker) went to high school and college together. Kristin (aka: Bac-T) and John met in college, which is where we met her. Then they got married (on 7/7/07) and had Alex (on 8/13/10), who is 3 months older than Kylie! Anyway, the girls played with Kylie's toys while the adults caught up. Then we hit up Buffalo Wild Wings for the end of a HORRIBLE Badgers game! We lost! Boo!

Another fun fall activity that some of the adult ladies got to do recently, was take Danielle out for her birthday at Dream Acres Pizza Farm in Wykoff, MN. It's a cute, little farm that serves homemade, brick-oven pizza made from foods from their gardens. The weather was gorgeous, the pizza was delicious, and the company was fantastic! I hope to go out there again in the near future!

There's a first time...

...for everything!

This week has been a week of firsts for our family. Kylie's hair is finally getting long enough for me to play with, which I LOVE! She doesn't sit still for too long, but I did get her to let me put pig tails in her hair for the first time over the weekend. She looked so cute and so grown up.

They're a little hard to see, but trust me, they were super cute! :)

Kylie also had a run in with the bath tub on Monday. She was getting ready to get into the bath when she slipped on the bathroom rug and hit her mouth and nose on the edge of the tub. She was gushing blood, and had me a little freaked out. Thankfully, she just has a cut on the inside of her upper lip, but this did lead to her first fat lip! Poor girl!

 It's hard to tell unless you see her everyday, but her upper lip is swollen.

She's still just as happy as can be though!

Finally, Jon and I started our Fantasy Football League back up. And for what I believe to be the first time ever, we both WON our first games! YAY!

Celebration Station!

This summer as truly been one of celebrations, and August was no different! We celebrated two wonderful weddings. My cousin Aaron married Lisa on August 11th. It was an outdoor wedding and a beautiful day. It was fun to see a lot of my family from my mom's side, and Kylie was a champ. In the last post, there were some pictures of Kylie from my cousin's wedding. Now I have a couple more....

On August 31st, we celebrated another Pink Star wedding! Ruthie's wedding was beautiful! It was at the Semple Mansion in Minneapolis and I loved hanging out with all of my high school girlfriends! And thank you to Jon's parents for watching Kylie so I could have some real adult time! It was such as blast!

My Grandpa Don's (my mom's dad) birthday is in early September, so we have made it a yearly tradition to have a Labor Day lunch at my parent's house in honor of him. This year, a few people could not make it, including Jon, but it was fun to chat with many of my cousins and see their kiddos!

We sure have been busy the past few weeks. We've celebrated a couple of weddings, visited with Kylie's grandparents and played with friends. Hopefully, I will be able to do a more elaborate post with more details of some of these events, but in the meantime, enjoy some pictures!
