Summer So Far...

The first few weeks have been fun and busy! Here is what we've been up to lately...

The day after we arrived home from our Minnesota/Wisconsin trip, Mia and Brady arrived for our annual Buckeye Country Superfest concert.
We saw Jana Kramer, Kip Moore, Keith Urban, and Zac Brown Band.
It was a blast!

I had a 3D ultrasound!
It's so cool to see the baby's little face!

We played with water balloons!

Sari visited her sister in Cincinnati, and we were able to meet her in Dayton, OH for an afternoon of fun.
We met at the Children's Discovery Garden.
Lots of free, fun activities for the kids!

The kids had VBS.
It was called Circus of the Son, and it was extremely elaborate.
It was quite the production, with hundreds of volunteers.

Kylie got to go by herself, but the 4 year olds had to have a parent with them.
Here I am with our 4 year old friends.
Brooks refused to take a picture with them without me in it.

Me and my boy (who was refusing to smile!).

Our favorite dad on Father's Day!

Jon and I took the kids to Great Wolf Lodge in Sandusky, OH over the weekend.
It's a fun resort with an indoor water park, arcade, restaurants, etc...

And we went to the zoo on a beautiful Wednesday morning.
They have a new dinosaur exhibit that the kids loved!

The animals were quite active, which was really fun.

It's been a lovely summer so far! We're excited to enjoy many more summer days over the next two months!

Minnesota/Wisconsin Vacation!

As soon as school let out for Kylie, we decided we better take our annual long vacation to Minnesota and Wisconsin. Since I'm pregnant, and due at the end of the summer, we figured the earlier we could travel back, the better. It worked out really well, and we are so glad we were able to spend such a significant amount of time with our families.

We flew back to Minnesota the day after Kylie finished school.
It was the Saturday before Memorial Day.
The kids have become excellent fliers. They were great!

My dad built this cool tree house.
The kids enjoyed playing in it all week long!
L to R: Lydia, Emmit, Kylie, and Brooks

We spent quite a bit of time at the farm
Brooks loved riding the four wheeler with my dad, and the gator with my brother.
Kylie caught a fish at the park with Brady and Johnny.

My dad was in the Memorial Day Parade and gave a speech.
The kids watched his speech in style!

Kylie pulled out her first top tooth!

Mine and Jon's 9th anniversary came and went while we were apart!
I made this fun photo collage of some of my favorite memories over the past several years.

I took all of the King cousins to the park one day.

After a week in Stewie, we headed up to Hudson to spend a week with Jon's family.
We picked Jon up from the airport on the way.
He was able to spend the week with us too!

The kids had a lot of fun playing together.
They made forts under the trampoline.
L to R: Espen, Bergen, Kylie, Elias, and Brooks

We enjoyed a meal at Culver's!

The hammocks were a hit!

We went to the Teddy Bear Park in Stillwater.
It's a favorite when we are visiting in Hudson.

We took a hike in River Falls to see the falls.
We also found this cool teepee.
The only bad thing was that Brooks picked up a deer tick, and we're pretty sure it came from this hike.
Thankfully, we found it early and he seems to be okay!

Grandpa Doug rented a pontoon.
We cruised around on the St. Croix river for a few hours one morning.
It was lots of fun!

Espen and Brooks.

Before the men picked up the women and children, they did a little fishing.
Apparently, Jon was not happy with his catch!

We had a very fun and productive trip. Besides all of these fun activities, we also found a house in Rochester! We are so excited to be moving back at the end of August!

Easter 2017!

Although Easter was months ago, here are some pictures from our fun Easter weekend!

Happy Easter 2017 from the Barlow Family!

We dyed Easter Eggs.

They turned out nicely!

We attended the UA Easter candy hunt at Thompson Park.

Cute Barlow kids! :)

Kylie left a gift for the Easter Bunny (aka: EB).

This was the gift.

The kids both got new bikes and helmets for Easter!

Here is a compilation from our Easter weekend.

Spring Pictures!

Since I have fallen way behind on my posts, here is a BIG picture post of our many spring adventures!

Brooks likes to pretend his is an animal.
This day he was a giant panda eating bamboo.

We tried Duck Donuts one cold, wet Saturday morning.

Jon and his little helpers.
I imagine this is what the OR looks like too!

We went to Sweet and Sassy, a little girls' nail salon
Brooks was a great spectator!

We started both softball and teeball.
We needed a little practice!

DQ season! Yay!

We have played at the park on many occasions.
Brooks and Alexander were discussing how best to battle the bad guys (aka: lawn mowers).

Kylie and Cristian.

Alexander had his birthday party at the fire station where Addi and Gwyn's dad works.

The kids and I went to Monster Jam while Jon was at a conference in Florida.
It was a little louder than expected!

Brooks built a fort at the park.

Brooks had his VIP night at preschool.
It was very cute!
His artwork is the blue squiggly lines.

His masterpiece in this picture is the red and orange splatters.

Brooks with his bestie, Alexander, and Buddy Bear (the class mascot).

After about 2 years, I finally finished this T-shirt quilt for my friend, Rebecca!

I was able to go on a long weekend girls' trip with my girlfriends from residency.
I miss them all and wish I could see them more.
The bottom picture is all of us.

Rainy day crafts.

It can be a challenge to get Brooks to practice his letters.
It was very fun to watch him write his name.

Kylie had her last open house of her kindergarten year.

Brooks started teeball!

Happy Mother's Day to me!
I love these two kiddos and I'm so excited to have a third on the way!

We went to the zoo with friends.

Kylie started softball.
This is her with Addi.

We've been able to enjoy the pool a few times.
L to R: Gwyn, Addi, Kylie, Annie, and Claire.

Brooks spent a good thirty minutes watching a squirrel in the backyard one morning.

Kylie had her last day of soccer.

We went to the Farmer's Market.

We had a park picnic!

And Kylie had her last day of kindergarten.
She insisted on dressing up, which was really sweet!
This is her with Mrs. Say whom we loved!

The whole kindergarten class!

Games at the class party!

It was a wonderfully busy spring! Now, bring on summer! Yay!
