July 4th, 2017

Happy 4th of July from the Barlow Family!

We had a great final 4th of July in Columbus. We went to the parade in the morning, which is a two hour long spectacle. There are lots of old cars, tractors, military veterans, fancy, handmade floats, bands, and more. We had a great spot in the shade, and the kids and I loved every minute of it...Not so sure about Jon! :) In the afternoon/evening, our street hosts a block party that is basically a carnival with face painters, a cotton candy machine, food truck, multiple bounce houses, water balloons, and more. After the block party cleared out and was cleaned up, we made our way up to the park for a beautiful display of fireworks! It was a really fun, really long day, and I'm really glad it only happens once a year! :)

Kylie and Brooks' face painting creations.
Kylie in the dunk tank.
My kiddos loving each other.
And Kylie's star hair, that she insists on wearing every 4th of July!

Block party fun with Annie and Claire!

I think this is my most favorite picture of Brooks ever!

I love this action shot of Kylie and Annie!
It was non-stop for many hours for these kids!

My friends were there too! :)
I'm going to miss these girls so much!
L to R: Cara, Kerri, Emily, and me

And another one of Kerri and me just for fun!

Mid Summer Happenings

We've had a few more adventures this summer that I wanted to document. We are trying to get all of our activities in before the baby arrives in a few weeks, and we move a couple of weeks after that. Here's what we've been up to lately...

Kylie pulled out her other top tooth.
She's been toothless for about a month now!

Kylie and Addi finished up their softball season.

The kids help me with a chore each morning.
Brooks likes to dust!

We took Uncle Greg out to Dewey's for his birthday!

Just my boy being sweet!

We picked raspberries with Annie and Claire.

We spent a Saturday at Zoombeezi Bay, the water park connected to the zoo.

My sweet friends, Kerri and Emily, threw a little baby sprinkle for me and baby girl.
It was a fun afternoon filled with laughter and desserts! :)

Kylie can't wait to be a big sister again!

We had our last bi-monthly triple date with the Harts and Flores'.
We went to The Guild House, which is one of my top 3 favorite restaurants here in Columbus.

We went to a Clippers game with the Hart family.

Kylie did a week long soccer camp!
It was a hot week.
Here she is with Annie.

And here she is with Sophie, our neighbor!

Kylie LOVES gymnastics, and I love watching her!

We went bowling with the Hart and Flores kids!

Grandpa Doug and Grandma Kriss came for a weekend to help us with some of the finishing touches on the house, and to make a few meals for our freezer!
The kids were wonderful helpers!

We went out to Easton with grandma and grandpa.
Of course, we had to stop by the Lego store and American Girl store.

Kylie and Brooks went to a birthday party for our neighbor, Lilly.
There was a face painter.
Brooks is a lion. Kylie is a unicorn.

We spent another day at the zoo.
This time we splurged for "Zoo It All" wristbands, which allowed the kids to go on all the rides!
It was super fun!
Brooks loved touching the stingrays.
Kylie loved the rollercoaster!

Pony rides!

Train rides!

Camel rides!

Kylie and Brooks did a Jungle Gymnastics Camp.
The zoo even came by with some of their animals.
This is one of the baby snow leopards.

The kids were entranced!

Brooks and Kylie also had a final dentist appointment here in Columbus.
They both were great!

And we finally managed to take a couple of baby belly shots with this pregnancy.
Poor third child.
32 weeks.

36 weeks.

I have less than three weeks left before the baby gets here, assuming I make it to my induction date. We have a few more activities to squeeze in!
