Months 3, 4, and 5!

Poor third child. I can't even do one little blog post about her once a month. So, here is her three, four and five months blog post.

At five months old, Quinn has started to sleep through the night pretty consistently. She goes to bed around 7:15-7:30pm, gets a dream feed at about 10pm, and wakes up in the morning between 7-7:30am. During the day, her naps are becoming a little more predictable. She is typically tired around 9am, 12pm, and 3pm. She'll sleep anywhere from 30 minutes to 2 hours, partly because she spends half of her life in her carseat trucking the older siblings around. Hopefully, she'll take start taking at least one long nap each day pretty soon. She eats every 3-3.5 hours, and is still exclusively breastfeeding, with the exception of her dream feed when I give her a bottle of pumped breastmilk and sometimes a little formula. She has had a 4 month check up, and a sick appointment since her last post. At her last appointment, on January 2nd, she weighed 14 pounds, 12 ounces and was 26 inches long! She still seems to be hanging out around the 50th percentile for weight and 30th for height. Quinn is officially wearing 3-6 month clothing, size 2 diapers, and size 1 shoes.

It's interesting how you don't (or can't) focus as much on what your baby can or cannot do the third time around. I have tried to keep track of the big milestones. Here are some things that come to mind: Quinn can roll over really well from back to front, but not super well from front to back. She usually gets stuck on her stomach and starts crying until someone rolls her back over. This seems unusual to me, so we're trying to work on it. She popped through her first two teeth at 3.5 months old! That caught us by surprise since the other two kids didn't get theirs until closer to 6 months. She is super smiley and laughs a lot, especially at Brooks! She "talks" a lot, especially when she first wakes up or when she is trying to put herself to sleep. She likes to sit in the bumbo when we are eating, and she seems to enjoy her jumperoo as well. She is loving baths these days. She laughs and splashes the whole time she is in there! Quinnie is so sweet and seems pretty flexible. She goes with me wherever I need to go, and even if she's tired or hungry, can keep it together as long as she is being held.

Quinn has added so much sweetness and joy to our family!
We love our Quinnie Button more than words can say!
