As Christmas was approaching, we decided to try out some new activities and maybe even develop a new Barlow tradition or two. We'll see if we keep these traditions going in the years to come. Here are a few pictures of some of the events and activities that kept the Christmas spirit alive this year...
This was the tree lighting ceremony at Easton Mall way back in November.
It was really fun, and included a parade, Santa, and some fireworks!
It was super busy, but something we hope to do again next year!
Trying on our Santa hats!
Jon and I went to a holiday charity event in Washington Courthouse, which is one city where Jon does some outreach work.
The had a live auction, and somehow there was a HUGE miscommunication between us which culminated in Jon purchasing the above plate for $225 in the live auction!
The plate was ridiculously expensive, but the story is priceless! :)
Kylie and I rang bells for the Salvation Army with some of our Bible Study friends.
I found my old nutcrackers and gave each of the kids one.
Kylie had her preschool Christmas program.
They sang about 10 songs, and then had a little party in the classroom for the parents/families.
This is Kylie with her bestie, Addison.
Aren't they adorable?!
Posing by the classroom Christmas tree.
Kylie and her other bestie, Cristian.
The teachers asked the kids what they thought their moms wanted for Christmas.
It's hilarious.
Kylie said a diamond dress. OK!
Some other answers include dinner, a fish, and my personal favorite, my dad!
We painted "gingerbread houses."
And we stopped by the Wildlights at the Columbus Zoo.
A highlight every year!
Brooks put his doggie hat on backwards!
Uncle Greg came with us!
We had a wonderful holiday season!
