Ohio Life.

It's hard to believe, but we've been in Columbus for three whole weeks already. We have started school, made friends, and begun to explore the city. We have gotten onto a routine quickly, and we are loving it! Here are some of our latest adventures...

Columbus or bust!
The kids and I left Stewie at 5am, and arrived in Columbus at 6pm.

This is how Brooks does road trips.
Leg up, arm back, snack in hand, movie on.

Kylie missed the first two weeks of preschool, but jumped in head first when we got here.
On her first day, she walked into the classroom without even a look back.
I admire her courage!

We have made some new friends and gotten to know some old friends from residency better.
We have had several play dates.
At our play dates, we almost always play dress up.

Brooks likes to play dress up too.
I guess it's time to get him some boy-ish dress up clothes.

We live within walking distance to three parks.
We love them all.

At preschool, the teachers often post information about the day's activites on the board.
I love it because when I ask Kylie about her day, I can usually only find out what she had for snack and which toys she played with.

Another neighborhood park that we love!

Many of you know that Kylie likes to run.
Here she is showing off her "running socks."

This is the first time that Kylie has written her name all by herself completely unprompted and without help.
It's the one on the right! :)

We got Kylie's haircut.
We have to put a little more time and attention into styling it now, but it's super cute!

Another park!

We went to an area farm with our friends.
They rode this "train" several times.

This was the hay ride at the farm.

Jon took Kylie to an Ohio State football game.

I stayed home with Brooks, but clearly this family is selling out!

More dress up.
That poor boy.

Like most little girls, Kylie loves to dress herself.
Thankfully, for me, I can usually convince her to wear something I've picked out when we go out in public.
But sometimes, (read: at bedtime), I just go with it!
Blue matches blue, right!?!

Brady and Mia Johnson!

On September 13th, 2014, my wonderful sister, Mia, married her long time love, Brady! It was a beautiful wedding, and I was honored that my children and I got to be a part of it. I was the matron of honor, Kylie was the flower girl, and Brooks was a ring bearer. We had so much fun, and we are so excited to have a new brother-in-law/uncle! Congratulations, Mia and Brady!

My mom, sister, Kylie and I all had manicures and pedicures done a few days before the wedding.
It was Kylie's first time...But I'm sure it won't be her last!

Kylie's flower girl updo!

My beautiful girl!

My handsome boy!

Mia's beautiful bouquet.
Love the fall colors!

Me and my girl.
Maybe one of my favorite pictures of the two of us!

The wedding party.

The wedding party minus the ushers and Brooks.
Brooks was only sort of cooperating.

My dad handed out these business cards to the guests.
He's funny like that!

This picture says it all!
We had a blast!

We LOVE Minnesota!

We loved being able to spend several weeks in Minnesota hanging out with our families and catching up with old friends. Here are some pictues of our last few weeks there...

Super Chicken Girly!

Water table fun!

We went to the Great Minnesota Get Together!

At the fair, I always get a corn dog and try one new deep fried food.

This year, I went with a deep fried Twinkie.
I would NOT recommend it!

Making their daddy proud.
Future Republicans.

Enjoying cupcakes!

We went to Annabelle's birthday party!
Bennett and Brooks enjoyed some male bonding time.

The girls were all dressed as princesses.
Lakin, Annabelle, Kylie, and Kaia.

 Lakin, Annabelle, Kylie.

Me and my princess!

It was great to see some old friends!
Me, Anne, Erica.

Brooks and Bennett.

He's still car obsessed!

We tried to go to Oxbow Park, but the road was closed.
We played on this log instead!

Kylie tried on her Halloween costume made by Super Grandma.

My handsome man wearing my Grandpa King's army hat!

We hung out with our cousins.
Emmit, Brooks, Kylie.

We went to Marigold Days in Mantorville.
Kylie made a necessary purchase.
Every girl needs a pink, poodle back pack.

We moved again.
This time out of our storage unit in Minnesota.
